Oh, the joys of life. Yesterday was a doozie. Toad is sickie sickie sickie with the croup. High fever and the pitchy cough. It goes without saying that he is miserable and CRANKY! IT has to be rough when you are two years old, sick and want everything your way. Yep, this is what happens when you are. Nena had a quite the day as well. As you may or may not know, she is allergic to…. EVERYTHING. Last week she had a massive reaction to saw dust. Yesterday she had a huge reactions to something that is still puzzling me. Her poor eyes get so swollen and she is miserable.
Bear was fantastic! He has such a great little attitude. I had to catch a picture of him just being good. He is working hard on getting ready for school. Go buddy!
Then, there is their mother. Yes, I do get a little frazzled some days. Yesterday was one of those days. I have a million and one things on my to do list and by the end of the day, I am exhausted. Yesterday, the house didn’t even make it to my to do list which means that today will be 10 times the work. Yep, it goes in increments of ten if you miss a day when you have a Toad and a Bear living in your house.
By 5:00, I was scrambling. I had a class that I had to go to and couldn’t miss and I was racing out the door. My mom and sis had just dropped off my other sister to babysit. I grabbed my flip flops to wear and decided that they just didn’t look good. I grabbed my favorite shoes (which happen to be heels) and quick stepped to the stairs leading to my front door. You know what is going to happen…..
The toe of my shoe hit the lip of the hardwood floor at the stair and sent me flying. Yep. I Maggie Simpsoned my way down the stairs and fell flat on the tile entry. I smacked my leg so hard that I now have a walnut sized bump under my knee cap. I have about 19 other bruises, one of them being my ego since my sister was laughing her head off. I left sore and embarrassed. Oh well. By the time I finished my class I could barely move and had a wicked headache.
You know, my kids fall about 1000 times a day and they seem to be fine. I fall once (that I am admitting to) and it nearly put me out of commission. I AM getting old.
