After a really hard day at mediation, I decided to take the kiddos on a mini vacay. I was planning on heading up to Bear Lake and even had my family talked into going with me. However, as luck would have it, rain hit and the weather forecast at Bear Lake was not favorable. I was still game to try it, but I was outvoted. I was really disappointed as were the kids, but it all turned out great.
We threw rocks in the lake and fed the ducks.
We played in the water.
We went for rides in Grandpa’s boat.
We went on a nature walk.
We played in the dirt.
We rode logs.
We took a short walk down a short pier.
We took looks at amazing views.
And…. We went fishing.
The kiddos ended up having SO much fun. I am actually glad that we didn’t end up going up to Bear Lake. I ended up being so worn down from the day before that I could barely keep my eyes open while making the drive. In fact, I had to have my dad drive my van back home for me while I slept the whole ride home. I couldn’t have made the 3+ hour drive up to Bear Lake. I am however, so extremely grateful that I had this day with the kiddos. It is a day we won’t soon forget.
