The Outfits
April 25, 2011

With so many mishaps with the Easter outfits, it is amazing that they all got pulled together.

My parents, bless their hearts, took me shopping for an Easter Dress this year.  I will admit, I was NOT wanting to go.  I haven’t had an Easter Dress since I was about 12 and this year, it wasn’t on the top of my “needs” list.  But, I will admit, that I loved it the second I tried it on, and it was on CLEARANCE to boot!  They even bought me the cute matching shoes, that I have no idea how I was able to walk in as they were so high.  I felt so chic though, a rarity in my every day life now days.

I have to admit, I was thrilled to wear something new to church today.  I have been wearing the same black skirt to church with a different top almost every single Sunday for the past 10 years.  I think that I shocked all of the women at church today that I was wearing something new.

The fairy ended up with a cute little number that was fashioned out of fabric that I already had laying around.  It took the better part of Saturday evening to fashion it, but I loved that we were on the same color palate.  Her cute shoes were brought to her by the Easter Bunny.  Yep, he knows his colors too.

The boys, well there isn’t a lot that you can do with boys.  I made them ties.  Now, I know that black and white are not Eastery colors, but  by the time I had the fairy’s dress done, I wanted us all on the same page.  Unfortunately, they were not nearly as enthused as I was and they wore them very reluctantly.

In the end, it all turned out ok and to be honest, I am a bit sewn out!

I love your new dress — you look gorgeous. And you did a great job on your daughter's dress! So cute! Nice work 🙂 The only effort I made was to iron things my boys already had — I usually just throw a sweater over their wrinkly shirts 🙂
