I have already introduced you to our cute little elf, Jingles. He is the highlight of the Christmas season for the kiddos. He magically arrives on the day that we put the tree up and stays through Christmas Eve. He is a sneaky little guy that hops around the house when no one is looking to snoop and spy and reports back to Santa.
This little fella has been seen on the Christmas tree, in the stockings, on the mantel, on the staircase, atop my sewing machine, in the sugar jar…. you name it! He has especially enjoyed popping in and out of the kiddos rooms as to make sure that they have been picked up! Sometimes it will motivate them…. sometimes.
Usually, Jingles stops by one night by their little Christmas trees and drops off a gift. This year, he left a little sack of candy for each of the kiddos. Nena was thrilled to see that all of the candy in her treat bag was milk free and she downed it faster than you could ever believe.
This year, after a little coaxing from the kiddos, Jingles decided to hang out an extra day and watch the opening of the gifts. He was certainly the guest of honor as each of the kids showed off what they had received to the little elf! He has become quite the addition to the family.
Tonight, however when we returned from visiting the grandparents, we found that Jingles had once again left us and gone back to the North Pole. We will miss him, but we are certainly excited to see him come next year!
