Our Elf
December 19, 2009

When I was younger, I always had the most amazing Christmases. Every year we were not only visited by Santa but, we also had the elves. The elves came to visit, to check to see if our rooms were clean and to see if we were doing everything that we could to be good. They would leave us little treats or gifts or do magical things like leave our sleeping bags under a lit Christmas tree or make us special coookies and leave them on the counter when we were out seeing the Christmas lights.

Well, our little family has been adopted by a little elf. Jingles chose us last year and has been a sneaky little thing. He has wandered about the house looking for a place to perch and watch the kiddos. He has left them advent calendars and has become pen pals with Kyra.

Now that we are getting a little closer to Christmas (and mom is getting more on the ball and destressing a bit) Jingles has been getting the kiddos really excited about Christmas. Tonight he has left the kiddos a little treat. I hope that my kiddos have as good of memories of their Christmases as I do about mine.

How Cute! Mary Ann has an elf too! Your kids are lucky that their elf leaves them presents! 🙂 Mary Ann's elf is currently teaching her that picking her nose and eating it is not good and that Santa does not approve! 🙂 Oh, and Jingles is THE CUTEST name for an elf! I'm going to remember this one!

That is the best idea! We need an elf around our house to keep everyone in line 🙂

I was at Barnes and Noble last night and they have a little elf doll with an activity book. The doll reminded me of something from the 50's. It was so cool.
Really this is a great idea.
