The changes in our little family’s life lately has caused some strain on some of the dynamics around the house. Between working full time and being down and out the last few months, everyone has struggled a bit with the changes. Everyone has had to help pick up the slack.
Toad though has needed a little extra. He is a proud little kiddo that doesn’t want to hold my hand or give a hug when he is around others. He gets a bit embarrassed by his adoring and loving mom. However, once we step inside the house, he doesn’t leave my side. He is with me every free moment that he can find. He even snuggles up with me at night and talks to me until he falls asleep. He likes to be held and snuggled. I have to admit, that I more than love it.
The other night I was laying there and Toad had had a particularly hard Mom day. He reached over and grabbed my arm and held it close. It was one of the most tender moments that I have had with him recently. I want to keep him little as long as I can.
