* Christmas Elves- Before the Elf on the Shelf was popular, we had the elves at our house. We never physically saw an elf, but we certainly saw the after effects. During the season, the elves would magically appear at our home and leave little gifts or surprises. They would leave little mini Christmas trees in our rooms, They would leave cookies (and the mess that was left over from baking them) in our kitchen. They would unroll our sleeping bags under the tree so that we could spend a night sleeping under the lights. These were almost always done while we were gone and we were stupefied as to how they did it.
Now, as I am doing this with my children, we have a little elf that helps out on the job. He joined our family a few years ago. He shows up on the day that the tree gets decorated and stays through Christmas Eve. He moves around the house and is always popping up in random, unique places. He leaves little gifts, plays little tricks and reports back to Santa every night. He even calls on Christmas Eve to make sure the kiddos are on their way to bed.
Jingles also leaves a little gift under the tree for the kiddos because he will miss them throughout the year, until he comes again next year. We will be posting pictures of the adventures of Jingles throughout the season.
