I thought I was having déjà vu but it turns out I do the exact same things every day.
Yep, that is the title of this post.
Ohhh…. as a quick preface to this post. I am NOT trying to feel sorry for myself in this post. After reading the comments and re-reading the post, I can see that people may take this as being mopey. Rather, think of it as a very futile attempt at being funny. 🙂
For the first time in three years (if you count my last blog) I have nothing to blog about. Well, that is wrong, I do, but everything has seemed to mix together much like a brownie mix, but without the yummy goodness of chocolate! It finally occurred to me that there is really nothing spectacular at all just a lot of the same old same old.
I was on a great roll with the picture a day until the camera broke… and the phone broke. I have since solved part of the problem….
Yes, this IS the Droid you’re looking for. I know. I know… cheesy. Love the new phone. Love that it was the manufacture’s defect that caused the upgrade in the phone. Love the fact that I got a great upgrade for free. Kinda sad that it didn’t line up better with the release of the iPhone, but I am not complaining. It has the game Angry Birds, so Toad is happy too.
In the mean time, we missed Valentines Day….Toad was there too, I just can’t seem to get the picture to upload.
Then….. Remember THIS post?
Well…. after almost two weeks and money that I didn’t want to spend, I have my computer back. Well…. sort of. I had to buy a new hard drive and install a new version of windows on my computer. I was able to retain my pictures and documents. Now, I am bugging because I still on the hunt for my misc. programs like Photoshop and Scrapbook Deluxe. I am sure that they will turn up soon. Oh, and the laptop…. sadly, the motherboard on that one is shot, so I am out of luck there. Time to save up more moolah!
Then, if we want to saunter off down the path to THIS post…..
Let the record show… that I have worked out almost every single day, worked on adjusting my diet, added weights to my routine and guess what….. I HAVE GAINED 6 POUNDS! WTH???? I know that we are supposed to look at inches, not pounds, but really….. this is getting to me. I don’t think that the inches have gone anywhere either.
I am NOW making the kiddos accountable for the things that they do and for the things that they want. We are learning to buckle down and tighten up the boot straps. So, in order for them to get what they want, they need to earn it. I know! Aren’t I the meanest mom ever! I mean really…. who has to work to get what they want… Right!
Here is Nena so proudly showing off her first purchase of the most annoying toy ever made. Yep, they are called Sing-A-Ma- Jigs and they are just dandy… in the bad way. Oh well, it was her money that she has been saving for the past 6 months and that is what she wanted to spend it on.
I am happy to report however, that the boys are still best of friends. They share a room (which is not working out so well right now…) but more than once, I have walked into my room at night to go to bed only to find these two covertly commiserated to snuggle up together on my bed. It is kind of heart breaking as I move them back to their rooms. That is until I come back to put myself to bed and find all sorts of Pokemon, Matchbox Cars, and assorted coins all tucked into my sheets and blankets.
This little guy is throwing me for a loop lately. We are dealing with some pretty intense anxiety issues and he has started some therapy for them. He is cute, but will often get up at 3:00 a.m. and wander the house. He loves getting up early and eating sugar, chocolate or whatever else he can get his hands on. Love him… just trying to get his antics under control.
We have started a tradition of Saturday Pizza Night. The kiddos are mine… all mine every other Saturday night, so we are trying to do something fun. We make pizza for Nena and buy one for the boys. Toad LOVES it and yells Pizzi Pizzi Pizzi yum yum yum. At least they are enjoying it…. right.
In very non-related news… I finally updated my jeans. Yes, I am totally lame. I own one pair of jeans and they were destroyed, so I finally gave in and bought a new pair that I love…and they have BLING! Yeah me! I am indulging my inner 14 year old. That, and (and this is a secret) I bought a jacket. A nice soft black leather jacket…. at the D.I….. for $25. I was so thrilled that I nearly fell over. It is by far my favorite purchase of the year, maybe of all time.
Sorry, I tried to take a picture, but I am a little hyper critical of pictures of me, and I didn’t like any of them enough to post them.
Then in my most thrilling news of all time….. I have a new nephew… sorry no pictures to post yet. And…. I have a new niece on the way! YEAH for cousins!
And then, filling of the dead space of my life is the not so thrilling news.
* My water heater started leaking something fierce, which led to the soaking of the carpet in the adjacent room, which led to the soaking of the sheet rock, which led to the emptying of the room and closet, which led to the removing of the carpet, which led to an awful discovery…. so awful in fact that I dare not post it here. Let me know if you are interested.
* My dishwasher has gone kaput! Yep, again.
* I am still right in the thick of things with the divorce. It is frustrating just because I am in limbo and I don’t know which way we are heading. Deadlines are making this great whoosing sound as they go flying by and I am left to sit and wait to see where things go. As of now, we are going to court, which is not fun. I am not happy about it. I am less happy to see the amount of money that has gone to attorneys. It gets frustrating and discouraging as there are so many things that I wish that money was going towards (and if you know me well, you can take a gander at a couple of them….)
Beyond that, we are great. This is my breaking the ice again blog and hopefully, will be the portal for entering the cyber world yet again with my random nonsensical life.

Oh my goodness girl, it just keeps coming back at you doesn't it! I was actually thinking about you today and hoped everything was ok since it had been a while since you had posted. But you are amazing and your kids are the cutest and I think having your kids save their money to buy what they want is one of the best lessons they can learn. That's how my parents were with me, and I turned out pretty good! Oh, and I don't know if I'm interested or not in what you found under your carpet!?! 🙂
You're back! It's good to see you blogging again 🙂 I can't believe you hate the sing-a-ma-jig! My baby got one for Christmas and I think it's so funny. He loves to stick his finger in its mouth when it's open. But my kids don't play with it much so that's probably the difference 🙂
I want to know what was under your carpet.
I want to know what was under your carpet too! Hope things get resolved SOON! Hang in there.
I know what was under your carpet and I really really wish you hadn't told me! Just kidding 🙂 I love Kaeson but he's rubbing off on A.J. 1111 miles away. AJ got up at 3:00 this morning and woke Xander up to keep him company! Love you Darci, thanks for posting. I suck at it so I live for your blogs!
