I can’t stand January! I think that it is by far the darkest, dreariest month of the year. It is after the holidays and before Spring. There are no festive holidays and nothing by inversion and cold weather. There is little to do in Utah that isn’t expensive if you don’t have the yearly pass. I don’t know how many times you can go to the aquarium, zoo or play center at the mall without the kids going crazy.
To boot, the kids are off track for three weeks at the end of January and trying to fill those days are not fun. With the addition of sickie bugs that infest our lives, it is just a huge killer! By the way, right now we are dealing with croup and ear infections.
Then…. in comes February. Even though the inversion is still there and it is still cold outside, it seems to have a bit of a springy feel to it. It maybe due to the fact that it is a short month… kinda like those short day Fridays at school. Maybe it is because we can celebrate Valentines Day. Maybe it is just because we are that much closer to Spring.
Either way, I just want to say GOOOOOOOOD BYE January and Welcome to February.

Amen, sister! January is just one of those yucky months. We're also so glad February is here. The sun is shining, there is blue sky peaking out behind the clouds! Looks like we'll make it to spring afterall!
I love February because usually by the 18th (Lou's b-day) the weather is a little better. That is what I tell myself!!
I just have a hard time making it to April. Glad to hear someone likes the other months in between.
Amen!
