Between family and church issues, we are discovering that finding good “us” time is hard. I love the magic of Christmas and the wonder in my little one’s faces. However, it often times gets squelched by all of the demands of parties, get togethers, shopping, commercialism and tithing settlement (Harvey is financial clerk…yeah…not.) We are trying to snatch up every single moment that we possibly can to be together as a family and do the simple things.
I have found an amazing recipe for really yummy and really easy, soft gingerbread cookies. We made the dough on Sunday and rolled the cookies out last night. This is the first year that Kaeson has taken an active, interested role and he was absolutely intense on making the cookies.
Cute Toad LOVED this activity. Mostly he enjoyed eating the dough. However, considering the recipe has a lot of raw eggs in the dough, we had to cut him off. He was quite angry at the conflict of supply and demand but, he was finally settled for a bottle of milk.

That so makes me laugh about Kelty. Maybe you need to make him some dough with the fake egg stuff…
