What were you up to?
30 years ago: Being four years old, chilling at home with my mom and three brothers. We would play in our back yard that was mostly dirt and have a BLAST!!! We didn’t have a TV but, three brothers are more than enough entertainment for a youngster.
25 years ago: 9 years old and in the 4th grade. At the beginning of the year, I just couldn’t master my times tables. My mom drilled me in them every day and by the end of the school year, I passed them off faster than anyone else in my grade!
20 years ago: 14 years old. I was trying too hard to grow up too fast. I was in the 9th grade. My hair was super poofy, I wore MC Hammer pants or stretch pants and sweatshirts. I was bopping around to the sounds of Chicago, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, FYC, The Bangles, etc. I went to my first concert ever…. Tiffany and loved every single minute of it.
15 years ago: 19 years old. I had graduated from high school. I was up in the freezing wasteland of Rexburg Idaho attending school on scholarship. I had put on my freshman 15, 20 or 25 pounds. I don’t remember exactly how much I gained. My hair had tamed substantially. I was majoring in music, taking too many classes and not attending my math class as much as I should have. I was having the best time of my life.
10 years ago: 24 years old. I had returned from a mission to the Dominican Republic. I just graduated from the U of U with a degree in education. I had secured a great job as a reading specialist at an amazing school. I had lost my college and mission weight and was enjoying my life to the fullest.
5 years ago: I had been married for over 3 years, had a fiesty 22 month old girl and a darling 4 week old baby boy and had a broken ankle. I had sold my house in Sandy and bought our “new” house in West Jordan. I had been through “the incident” with my in-laws.
