The Firestation
November 17, 2011

Toady had his first field trip with his preschool. They had such a great time. It was a bit of a hassle getting there. Nena had a migraine and woke up not feeling very well. I couldn’t really send her to school. I couldn’t send her to a sitter… since I don’t have anyone that could babysit her, I couldn’t leave her home, yet I couldn’t let Toady miss the field trip. He had been looking forward to it for some time.

He was so excited to see a real life fireman!

He was even more thrilled when he got to fist bump the fireman dressed up in all of his gear. This is the coolest part of the presentation in my opinion. I love that they bring a fireman dressed in full gear to let the kids know what one will look like if they happen to come into their house during a fire. At first, all of the kids shrunk away and were kind of scared. However, by the end, they realized that there was nothing to fear. Looking at the situation. I am so glad that they get the kids prepared for this. The last thing you want if for them to be afraid of the person that is trying to help them out.

The class. I LOVE his teachers.

Ok, this is one of my new favorite pictures. I posted this on facebook not thinking anything of it. However, within a couple of days, I had my brother comment on it that the fireman in this picture (pretty sure it is the guy on the right) is his wife’s uncle. How is that for a very small world. I think that is awesome. I wish that I had known that before we went.

He was so proud to be able to sit in the front seat of the fire truck. He talked about that for days!
