Well, as I have been posting the skies have been pouring rain and hail for the past few weeks. We had been hoping that they would clear enough to let the Festival continue. Thursday and Friday were gorgeous, perfect days but, on Saturday as I sat down to finish Kyra’s costume (a futile attempt- talk about wardrobe malfunction), I saw the clouds roll in and the downpours begin. I started warning Kyra that the festival might be cancelled.
She was certain the the rain would not influence the festival. The fairies would make sure of that. So, we got her dressed and loaded her into the car. As I drove down the street with my windshield wipers going full blast, I tried to talk her into just going to lunch with me and having her picture taken at Thanksgiving Point when the weather got nicer. She did not relent. She is one die hard fairy.
We made it to the festival and she was thrilled beyond thrilled to be there and enjoyed every single second. They cancelled some of her favorite activities because of the heavy rain, but she enjoyed every part that she could participate in. Her favorite parts: walking through the flower fairy maze (where she heard a fairy whisper to her,) and putting her wish on the wish tree (her wish was to grow up to be a real live fairy!)
There is talk of all of us fairy lovers getting together and hosting a fairy fest for our little ones. I am up for hosting if anyone is intersted in coming. Let me know!!!

I LOVE MY FAIRY!!!!!!!
