I didn’t post this on April Fool’s Day but, I need to post it. My dad got me again. I know, I am just completely naive. However, he was able to pull over another April Fools Day joke over on me. Go Dad! I still can not believe that I am falling for those.
As everyone knows, I love fairies. So does Kyra but that is probably brought on by my semi-obsession with them. On Wednesday afternoon, my dad called me claiming that he had come across a amazing story about fairies. He said that he was unable to copy the link but cut and paste the story and pictures and put them into an email for me.
I found it just incredible. The article talked about a man that had found a mummified fairy as he was walking in the back woods back in Europe. The fairy remains had incredibly detailed features including hair and teeth. I was completely enthralled. It never occurred to me once that my dad could be pulling a joke over on me. It wasn’t until I was mentioning it to a friend later in the day that it was suggested that the fairy tale may just be a hoax for April Fools Day.
I reluctantly called my dad, not wanting to offend him by insinuating that his wondrous tale might just be a lie. I asked “What that whole fairy thing a joke?” He started to laugh and asked me how long it took me to figure it out. He showed me the links that he had found and we chatted up a bit. I am glad that my dad still loves me enough to want to trick me and send these jokes my way. However, I am not so pleased to announce that I fall for every darn one of them!
For those of you that are just dying to know exactly what I fell for, here is the link. Enjoy wallowing in my naivety.

That is awesome! I can’t believe someone did so much work in creating that fairy. Amazing!
That’s funny 🙂 My dad is still congratulating himself on pranking me two weeks ago, so you’re not the only one.
I was thinking…I think this article actually came out in 2008 or maybe even 2007 because once I really looked at the photos I totally remember seeing them. Because yes, I read British news all the time…they have cool stuff in it like dead fairies!
