If you want to scroll ahead to my previous post, it will tell you a bit about some of the craziness that has been going on here at my home the past several weeks. It has been a bit of an epic adventure. I will tell you this, I have learned through all of this that I actually can cook and I am not bad at it.
To help deal with a lot that is going on, I have been tyring to hone in on my nearly non existent culinary brilliance and come up with some new and fun things. Now, admittedly, none of them are my own recipes, but I am darn proud of myself that I have been able to do them on my own. Here is a random sampling of some of the things that I have been cooking up here at the house.
* Apple Crisp
* Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
* Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
* Amazing homemade bread
* Grape Jelly
* Grape Pie
* Grape Syrup
* Caramel Corn
* Sweet and Sour Chicken
* Chili
* Funeral Potatoes
* Sugar Cookies
* Homemade Pizza
Now, those are only some of them. However, after looking at this list, I am beginning to put two and two together and have come up with the solution to my sudden unwelcome addition to my hips. I think that the combo between the stress and the remedy for said stress is the culprit of the extra five or so pounds that I have found clinging to my hips and tummy. Hmmm. I am thinking that I need to rethink my solution to all of this. In the mean time, I am just excited that I am finally getting a bit of a groove going on in my kitchen.

The bread you made is fantastic. I suspect that everything else you have made is wonderful too!
I like the new background and did you take your blog public?
I'm impressed.
